The images under this heading are mainly digital but there are few which I have recently scanned from the original negatives. I used Ilford XP1 for many years which I found an amazing film with a lot of exposure latitude and excellent detail in the shadows. Before going over to using a digital camera I worked with Fuji colour negative which I find scans beautifully. This then being converted into B&W. Right from the start of going digital I have always worked in RAW. So much more latitude in exposure can be achieved and as long as the highlights are not blown out a good range of tones can be obtained. Shadow areas I find can generally be recovered in the RAW converter unless you have extreme contrast.
